  • 2001 NINGBO SHENGGUANG MOTOR CO., LTD was established in Jishan, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province.
  • 2001 SGMADA began independent research and production of micro DC gear motors.
  • 2003 SGMADA moved to Wuxiang Industrial Park, Yinzhou District, Ningbo, with a plant area of 8,000 square meters. In the same year, SGMADA established an independent site on Alibaba and began exporting micro DC gear motors to Europe and the United States.
  • 2005 SGMADA obtained ISO 9001 quality system certification.
  • 2008 SGMADA started the development of planetary gear motors.
  • 2009 SGMADA established a sister company, Ningbo Twirl Motor Co., Ltd., and began developing BLDC motors.
  • 2011 SGMADA obtained import and export rights and began independent exporting.
  • 2014 SGMADA built a new plant in Jiangshan Industrial Park, Ningbo, covering 14 acres with a plant area of 15,000 square meters.
  • 2015 SGMADA collaborated with Accuride to develop automotive slide motors and obtained TS 16949 certification.
  • 2018 SGMADA pioneered the development of BLDC Outrunner motors, combined with planetary gearboxes.
  • 2023 SGMADA developed robotic joint motors.
